BE, A guy here in Texas shot and killed a legally authorized repo man for repoing his pickup (what else) and was totally exonerrated. Nobody on the jury liked repo men. Another one shot and killed a drunk Scotsman seeking directions. He fired through the door of his house. That was complicated, but more of a tragedy of linguistics than a bad act by either party. What amazed me about the incident was that the homeowner used a .25 caliber pistol. I didn't think those could penetrate the door, much less kill somebody once they got on the other side.

Here you have to shoot them and then drag them at least part way into the house. This is really too much effort just to protect oneself. You also must shoot them in the front or it looks funny.
