J.T., good luck with your new service. On the bright side, in the wasteland of Rydex advisors, you wouldn't have to do much to set yourself apart (and get noticed) from the Rydex timers monitored by Hulbert since something like 8 of the 9 Rydex portfolios tracked by Hulbert for more than one year showed an annualized *loss* for the period they have been covered. Apparently it's real hard to make consistent money trading Rydex funds - most likely because leverage can be a killer. And of the 19 *real money* Rydex/Profunds managed accounts tracked by MoniResearch, only 6 have been profitable over the past three years. Pretty pathetic I would say since these are supposed to be professional money managers.

One bit of of advice though, Hulbert will get on your case big time using their name when you are not tracked by them. In the past, several services not tracked by Hulbert have evoked the Hulbert name and Mark Hulbert came down pretty hard on them. You don't need that type of controversy beginning a new service. I don't know what it takes to get monitored by the likes of Hulbert or Timer Digest but you might not want to go that route. A wise old vendor once told me that it's best to never let the public see your actual track record. Then again, for the few that do achieve meaningful track records per Hulbert, there is no better advertising tool (next to real money trading statements of course)
