OT -- i am creaming my pants, especially if the cost is really only Lyon, Fossum, De la Rosa, and Goss. Schilling still seems luke-warm about coming here, though. somebody needs to tell him he goes from the outside looking in to a first-ballot HOF if he helps bring a title to Boston. i gotta take a look at his spray charts, but i don't know why he thinks he wouldn't be successful at Fenway. Schilling when healthy is a top-5 pitcher in baseball (in the same league as Pedro, Prior, Hudson, Unit, Kevin Brown (also when healthy)). guy is in an entirely different league than the top FA's available, Pettitte, Colon, & Milwood. people don't understand just how valuable those top top top tier guys are; how rare they are. i can't wait to hear whether or not this deal goes down.
