I'd love that. Powell destroyed his reputation on February 5 in his speech before the UN Security Council. It was one of the most dishonest speeches ever given.


I'm not arguing about that speech or any "evidence" used to support this war. But assuming all cabinet level republicans supported the war at least publicly, it seems to me Powell has some other qualities that shine in light of Bush's abysmal failure. Powell knows how to negotiate for one thing. And the current crop of republicans is so entrenched in pork spending I don't know any of them that could come off with integrity. Powell seems like the best of the lot.
