It is one of the ten commandments but how it fit into a one world religion was not clear (to me at least). << hi sidney. seventh day adventists believe that in the end times there will be issued a world-wide decree forcing all men to worship God on sunday. they believe the papal authorities in rome will be behind this. this stems from their notion that the catholic church is the one responsible for changing seventh day (saturday) worship to the eighth or first day, sunday. as you pointed out, they feel that not observing the seventh-day sabbath is breaking one of the ten commandments, hence those who succumb to worshipping on sunday will be worshipping the beast. they believe that the only faithful remnant which will resist the beast under penalty of death or economic sanction will be seventh-day sabbatarians. they often cite the verse daniel 7:25 to support this belief. they believe that "to change times and laws" means forcing a change of worship from saturday to sunday. 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
