Unfortunately Bush probably will be re-elected because of the spinelessness of the Democratic "opposition" and its "Bush lite". agenda. They have handed the Bushies a huge victory on the Medicare issue when the leadership refused to back a filibuster against this so-called "reform" package which opens the door to the destruction of Medicare. Their criticism of the Iraq invasion is mainly over tactics, not principles. I hope I am wrong, but I smell a Democratic electoral disaster next year even worse than the 2000 rout.
