Hey Ray, what does fear motivate you to do?

Fear mongering is a phrase which implies conjured threats where none exist. If you do not feel Al Qaeda is a threat -as our President Bush said - "to bring a day of horror like none we have ever known," then I think it appropriate of you(and Maureen Dowd?) to say Bush is a fearmonger. The same can be said of Iraq. Bush said it would take one vial, one canister, one crate slipped into this country..." to wreak havoc. Perhaps Saddam didn't and wouldn't aspire to do so in the first place. Perhaps he didn't applaud the 9/11 attacks, either. Perhaps he didn't have a passenger airliner in a terrorist training camp without a runway, either. Perhaps he isn't the one with a persistent history of hiding, lying, murdering, bragging, denying and covering up. Oh, now I suppose I'M doing the fear mongering, eh? LOL....reality makes Dowds usage of the term fearmonger incorrect, by definition. Her listing of scary current events in Iraq and/or elsewhere creates an article full of more scary details than Carter has Peanuts, making her a hypocrite given her usage of the term. The fact that she may be trying to scare us into laying down arms rather than hold them on target changes this not a whit.
