The Energy Bill: All Pork and No Beef - Raymond James’ Energy "Stat of the Week", November 24

"The bill’s provisions as they relate to oil and gas will not materially change the dwindling supply of domestic
petroleum or encourage energy companies to spend more money extracting oil and gas from the ground.
The dramatic increase in ethanol mandates makes this bill more of a farm bill than an energy bill."

que, Agreed, it was helpful to me see the "demand destruction" myth so roundly refuted as it was by Andy.

The fact that natty futures are still sticking in the high 4's even with a warmer than normal Fall seems to say the futures traders have bought into Andy's way of thinking.

With us now being just weeks away from the 12th straight month of having the average Nymex HH Natgas contract be priced > $4.50, it seems pretty safe to say that we have in fact made the "step change" to $4.50 gas that Marshall Adkins was calling for about a year ago I believe. Actually I think he was calling for $5 but who's gonna quibble about pennies? <g>
