I may well be alone in this opinion, but I foresee "terrorism" finding advocation across many races, religions, and geographic locations as we move forward in time It is the classic struggle for wealth and power. Unless it is shared more equitably then there is little recourse for the disenfranchised. A world which permits preventable diseases to flourish in some areas, which allows huge numbers to live in poverty while others live with great excess, and which has contributed to this circumstance by unfair trade practices, by the exercise of might, and by the support of dictators and tyrants in weaker countries is implicated and tainted. It is one world and the Western elites (so to speak) have created an environment in which unanticipated consequences are now developing a life of their own. The very existence of these impulses and actions demonstrates the failure or at least the imperfection of the system. Unless an attempt is made to address the inequalities, terrorism will go on. It is a symptom not a cause. I don't believe people are different from each other. Everyone prefers the opportunity to live their 70 years and enjoy a family and friends. They don't have an inherent desire to kill and destroy others. There is no difference between Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, Catholics, Christians, etc., etc. There is no difference between Russians, Americans, Chinese, Africans, Europeans, Israelis, Palestinians, Egyptians, etc. People all want the same basic things. It is the imbalance which is creating the reaction. Personally, I see little that leads me to believe that things will be resolved easily. Killing off Muslims or Palestinians isn't going to solve anything. I am not so articulate that I can word my thoughts on this complex subject as well as I would like. Hopefully, you will understand what I am getting at. Hatred for others is a two way street. Overall, I believe great economic dislocations are inevitable.
