More like the incredible tax gains caused by the Bush cure of the Clinton-Rubin disaster are being booked in the 2003 tax year, to offset 3 years of Clinton-Rubin capital losses...

GDP growth to hit 20-year high

Business economists see U.S. GDP growing 4.5% next year, the strongest increase since 1984.

November 24, 2003: 5:02 PM EST

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. economy will see its strongest growth in 20 years, led by business spending and exports, with employment slowly rising as excess capacity is absorbed and inventories climb, according to a poll of business economists released Monday.

The 28 professional forecasters surveyed by the National Association for Business Economics expect growth in U.S. gross domestic product to rise to 4.5 percent in 2004 from an anticipated 3.0 percent this year.

That would mark the strongest growth since a 7.4 percent gain in 1984, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Kenneth,

Not according to my charts. On September 15, the NDX closed at 1347.77. Today, the NDX is at 1418. That is an increase of 5% in a little over 2 months. Though if what you actually meant, was that the upward momentum of the markets, have slowed from the first and second quarter - you are correct.

re:"the market is flat since mid-September. The economic news has been discounted"
