But I can very well understand the merits of argument of separating church from state and the distinction between the church's interpretation of marriage and our constitutional safeguards. I think there are much bigger issues in the 2004 elections than debate between church and state. Remember while we slept during the court battles in 2000 for who should be President, the terrorists were active, Clinton was on the way out and then for nine months Bush was coming into office. His folks were accusing the Clintonians of ransacking the White House, removing the "W" key from the computer keyboards etc. The world laughed at US stupidity, the US let down their guard and the terrorists struck. Hence our electorate should have learnt their lesson and would better know that when they elect a President it is much much beyond the issue of gay marriage. That is why Kerry quickly turned his response from Gay marriage, back to Medicare. And now politics aside Lindy. I was raised in a Third World country. I chose to be a US citizen. I am a US citizen by choice and not chance like many are in this country. The more I see where the US is headed, the more I see the minorty who are loud setting the agenda, the more I see the US headed to a status of a Third World country. I know that is a stretch especially for those who always demand proof. To those folks I would say then that the US is loosing the leadership position in the World. And the US capitalists you would think would be more patriotic and keep the jobs here, right? But heck no, they are just concerned about multiplying their capital. Taking software jobs to India, instead of investing in our education system to ensure we turn out good scholars who could work on software like the Indians do. Let me get off my soap box for now while I leave you with something to think about with my last statements.
