Seen the GDP numbers? A lot of people don't realize that the government sector, and the production of public goods, is counted in GDP. Bush is pumping his own numbers- all that war on terror crap, and all the crap for Iraq, that's all in the GDP. I wonder what GDP is without Mr. Bush's pump and dump.

It is hard to understand how American citizens could conspire to kill masses of their fellow citizens. Yet a small handful have. I don't think it's a good idea to turn people loose who will pose a future danger to their fellow citizens.

Many of those people detained indefinitely will likely have to be held for life. Do you really want the gov't to turn loose someone who regards killing your family a religious imperative?
