...you can run Norton Ghost from a DOS floppy...

Look for Ghost.exe, 1000KB. Also check out gdisk.exe, comes with ghost. It's like fdisk, except that you can partition and format at the same time, and it doesn't have the mis-sizing and partition overlap bugs that fdisk has...

Cheers,
F

Hi wily,

I bought a new laptop, what is the best way to copy this hard drive to a partition on my laptop? I bought partition magic 8 and copy disk 4 to straighten this drive out....problem now is I can't get this motherboard to find my cd rom to install new software(have driver problem w/ MB)..... Can I put programs on my laptop and link the two computers? I don't know exactly how disk copy works but would be great to slave old problem computer to new one and let programs do their magic?....I suppose they need to be networked together?

If anyone wants to talk me through it....pm me with phone # and I'll give a call.

TIA,
~j
