Wed 26 Nov 2003 News Release
Mr. John Buckle of Oasis Diamond reports
DRILLING SOLVES THE WAWA DIAMOND ENIGMA
Oasis Diamond Exploration and Arctic Star Diamond have disclosed that five
holes drilled from a common collar and in an umbrella pattern confirm that
the newly discovered Dogma target is approximately 700 metres northwest of
the Enigma site. The drill pattern was designed to test the pipe shape
observed in surface mapping to a depth of 100 metres. Visual logging of the
core by on-site qualified person Jacques Marchard, PEng, was confirmed by
C.F. Minerals laboratories in Kelowna, B.C. All holes intersected mafic
hetrolithic breccia and xenolithic rocks similar to diamond-bearing
lithology identified at the Enigma site. C.F. Minerals suggests that the
material is a metamorphosed kimberlite. This interpretation is supported by
a previous surface geochemical sample taken less than 50 metres from the
drill collar location that contained abundant kimberlite indicator
minerals. The company is encouraged by the confirmation of a probable pipe
with favourable kimberlitic indicators at this new location. John Buckle,
PGeo, stated: "I believe this new information solves the Wawa diamond
enigma. Highly altered kimberlite pipes will end the debate about the
diamond source rocks in the Wawa diamond belt."
Vertical drillhole 12 encountered layers of xenolithic breccia rocks from
2.5 metres to 98 metres and then into the felsic volcanic country rock.
Hole 13 drilled at negative 60 degrees at an azimuth of 150 degrees
intersected the same lithology as hole 12 entering the country rock at 56
metres; hole 14 cut the hetrolithic breccia for 72.7 metres; holes 15 and
16 also at negative 63 degrees and azimuths of 270 and 330 degrees,
respectively, intersected xenolithic breccia material for 98 metres in hole
15 and 128.8 metres in hole 16. The 3-D geometry of the body determined
from surface and drilling indicates a tilted pipe structure with a surface
expression of 160-plus metres in diameter.
Core samples from these holes are at C.F. Minerals Laboratories for
petrographic and diamond content analysis. Results of this analysis will
establish the metamorphosed kimberlite pipe interpretation.
Continued evaluation of the Enigma site has provided further evidence for
diamond-bearing rock over an extensive area. Results have been received
recently from the continuing evaluation of the Enigma site. Core from hole
No. 9 returned three microdiamonds. This hole expands the extent of
diamond-bearing rock at Enigma for a horizontal distance of more than 800
metres. It is becoming apparent that the Enigma occurrences are part of a
much larger system which has only been tested on its western edge and is
open to the east.

Portions of the drill core from the Sigma drilling earlier this year did
not return any diamonds. Selected sections of the hole were tested for
diamond content to determine the source of the diamond-bearing boulders in
the immediate area of the drill target. The balance of the core will
receive detailed petrographic analysis to determine if this site is the
diamond source.
The new evidence for a kimberlite pipe geological model will guide the
re-evaluation of the Sigma site to locate the source of the 21-diamond
surface sample previously reported. Further surface mapping, geochemical
sampling and geophysical analysis in planned for this site.
The evidence from the recent drilling indicating metakimberlite pipes on
the Oasis property in Wawa will significantly increase the effectiveness of
future exploration efforts and the evaluation of the known diamond-bearing
sites.
