What was wrong with letting him hold off. There were inspectors on the ground. We could have maintained a pissing match for years. He had no WMD, and no way of getting any, idiot. And even if he did, he wouldn't have used them. All he wanted was to be a big shot in his neck of the woods. And we would have let him, as long as he was our big shot. Remember, he gassed his own people in the early 90s, and we didn't do anything about it then. What was the big rush now? Tell me that. OIL.

All the leftists conveniently forget that we gave Saddam multiple opportunities to hide or transfer his WMD. The US started debating attacking Iraq about a year in advance. If every single pot smoking leftist on this thread (okay, pot smokers on the right also) were told that the police are coming to their house because they know they're growin' the stuff in their basement, and they were told this a year in advance, I'm willing to bet not ONE SEED would be found.
