why do you nitpick arguments that we both know to be true?

Remember 7 months ago or so I told you that offshoring was going to be a death knell for employment and you laughed it off as some sort of lagging indicator. Well here we are with a very unlikely pickup to this labor crisis, very low wages and Bush's poll numbers in the tank. You act as if all is well and this 8% GDP number is some kind of monumental economic achievement! The fact is there are more bankrupcies and more unemployment than ever and the fact that we can't create wealth like we used to be able to do in the Clinton years even though companies are immensely more profitable and Bush has created another bubble is not something to brush off!

I think you think Bush can win this election and I don't think he has a prayer. I believe I was right about the economy last spring so we will have to see how things transpire in 04. I doubt this "GDP miracle" results in much benefit to average citizens and by that I mean people making 100K/year and less.
