whatever margins were in these past 3 years, that is the trough imo. This is the worst recession in IT we have ever had, and adding insult to injury a lot of jobs have been shipped offshore and that also killed the market for US IT companies. Now this year we finally see stabilization and some growth, and even some jobs coming back from India. So whatever Sun's income statement and B/S was in 02/03 that is the bottom imho.

Global server sales rose 2 pct in 3rd quarter-IDC

"We're on the verge of stronger enterprise spending" on information technology, said Mark Melenovsky, an analyst with IDC, in a telephone interview.

Dell Inc. (NasdaqNM:DELL - News) is gaining on Sun for the No. 3 spot, IDC said, with third-quarter market share of 9.5 percent, up from 8.6 percent in the year-ago quarter, IDC said.
