Karen, The reviewer understands the magnitude of the problem while most of us gloss over it. Of course his solutions are ridiculous as Kumar points out. Problem for young families is similar to that of gays--everyone can be ambivalent at best and hostile at worst until one comes out of the closet who is a close relative. I have had that happen with gays and with young families and then my views evolve. So in a three month period I am for pro-family policies(tbd) to alleviate the problem of the young family and I have given up my opposition to gay marriage. Thats what a progressive does and I will cherrypick from dems and reps on these issues. Actually I think we are in need of a new party that have folks like McCain and Lieberman at the helm--Both are progressives imo. Mike
