My point exactly and we will always gravitate toward a two party system and that MAY involve a new party which involves the Zell Millers, Joe Liebermans, Evan Bayhs, allying with more moderate republicans both on the small govt(McCain-slow the growth of govt) and social conservative side(non-falwell family values folks who can support social programs when necessary ito). Likelihood small but it is also unlikely that the dem moderates named above can recapture dem party from the likes of Teddy, Babs, McCaulliffe, Dashle, Dean eta al. Actually the best chance of recapture lies with Hillary(darling of the left) in 08 taking a play out of hubby Bills playbook.
Also remember republicans were written off after nixon and that lasted for one carter term only and led to reagan. Mike
