Yep, I figured that BIG oil would not invest into R&D for recovery of methane hydrate. THey represent the biggest energy reserve on earth and it is renewable, as it is generated from organic decay at the sea bottom....... and then mostly wasted into the atmosphere ........like in the Bermuda Triangle. The US has 10 times more methane hydrates within it's borders than it's actual NG reserves

Roughly 200,000 Tcf of the total U.S. methane resource of 227,500 Tcf resides in methane hydrates
