Thanks for the info on Ace Utilities—looks like a good program but I kind of accomplish the same thing with Drive Image when I do a restore. Maybe the next time I'm ready to restore and I have everything backed up I'll give it a run just to see how it works. But till then, it ain't really broke so I'm not going to mess with it <g>.

While finding Ace Utilities to download I also came across Advanced System Utilities. I gave it a try, but should have read the reviews first. Fortunately the backup-restore file it saved seems to have worked fine. Not to be trusted for registry cleaning. After running it I could not open Netscape, and who know what else it might have affected.

I would not have been so bold except that I'm running a new machine that I think I have to start from scratch to rebuild the OS anyway.
