I understand what you are saying, but I believe the
settlements outside the 1967 boundaries are illegal
under international law.

I think the Israeli Supreme Court also determined that
these are considered "occupied territories" - not
part of Israel.

I believe occupying this area only hurts Israel in the long-term, as they are now viewed in these areas - and rightly - as the oppressors - not the oppressed.

Just as I think our occupation of Iraq puts us in a similar role - and also does not help us in the long-term.
