Sunny, They hate Bush so much they take positions that violate there own ideology to oppose him. He is not one of them despite Yale and Brahman upbringing. He would rather be at the ranch and he believes in God. The intelligista hates this. See the Peters article I posted earlier. Having said all of this--it is their right to make fools out of themselves and it is our job to be extra certain that the polices we take are correct. There was a stumble in Iraq that re-emboldened the opposition. Hopefully things get better. But regarding treason/aiding abetting, there has been little of that from most of the left. The extreme is rooting against us however. On Hardball yesterday, Tom Friedman said that 50% of the Brazilian people were pissed at Iraq for not putting up a better fight against us during the war. I work with a wonderful young lady who has an argentinian background. They really do see the US as only superpower scenario as threatening to them. Like the Cold War wasnt with two superpowers.. It is jealously and envy. Watch what the foreign euro press has to say about the new american boom while their economies stagnate. 52 year old coming median age, long vacations with social welfare programs up the kazoo but they blame us for our success and our hard work and our full integration of immigrants in one generation while they get older and older and fail to integrate their islamic immigrants they now seek to appease.
