"They are completely disingenous." I agree. I've also found that when faced with clear evidence that their perceptions of events are misguided, usually based on lies & distortions, they choose to ignore the evidence & change the subject. What I also noticed is that these same people will eventually repeat the original misguided perception as though it were fact. That seems to be a combination of denial & disingenuousness. I don't think they realize that most people are turned off by that behavior.
