WOW! I thought Whole Foods had a good track record with its employees! It does to this day. If you ask the employees of Whole Foods here in Bend, OR if they want union representation, they will say "no". The media and our perverse "education" system has so thoroughly saturated and propagandized the consciousness of workers in America that they no longer have a clue as to what is in their best interest. It is fascinating to see just how much of the public relations effort of the 20th century was expended on lying about the sins of communism, the horror of socialism and the corruption of unions. The corporate whores really bamboozled a whole nation. And now we are stuck with the consequences. Instead of health care for all citizens as a given, we have become the ruthless, heartless and corrupt laughingstock of the developed world. No sane observer can witness the rape of the public with the new "Medicare" bill without noting that America is abandoning its people for the sake of its corrupt corporate chieftains. Instead of dignity for workers and a living wage, we have despicable conditions of employment where many full time employees are quoted in hunger statistics. Instead of honest pension systems guaranteeing security, we have flim-flam schemes like 401-k's that are regularly looted by con-men like Ken Lay. America has become a nightmare for the working class. But a bonanza for the crooks. Thus, this punishment will last for a long time.
