Silver Stars vs. an AWOL war-avoiding "military" president. Clark and Kerry take away Bush's military photo ops and leadership image. Dean just makes Bush stronger in this respect. Even now most Americans generally support the Iraq War, though they are disappointed by how it's gone. Most Americans are pro-military and pro strong leader. Dean may appear strong to the anti-war left, but to the middle and right he looks like a liberal rabble-rouser.
