Singing and dancing, two of the world's most wanted men reached the shores of Israel in doll form on Wednesday. along with a load of dubious Teletubbies, a consignment of Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein dools were seized by customs officials at the Haifa Port.

They were discovered in a container consignment ordered by an Israeli Arab, a resident of Kafr Kara in the Triangle region. He was questioned and maintained that the toys, made in China, were intended to be a gimmick to be sold in Israel.

The dolls, some 30 centimeters in height, were encased in boxes of the kind normally associated with "Action Man" and "Cindy" and accessorized with with toy hand grenades and Kalashnikov rifles. Suggesting their respective popularity, the consignment contained 400 Osama dolls, and a mere 50 Saddams.

Ronni Bar-Sinai, head of the Customs and Excise department in Haifa, said it was not the first time they had uncovered imported items that constituted incitement. "In the past year we have discovered no few imports of inflammatory books, leaflets that point to incitement and all these things are banned from entry into the country," he told reporters.

The dolls are likely to be destroyed on the grounds that they consitute incitement to rebellion.
