World chip sales rise 23 pct y-o-y in Oct -WSTS Friday November 28, 6:34 am ET FRANKFURT, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Global sales of semiconductors rose 23.3 percent from a year ago in October, to $15.4 billion, 6.8 percent more than last month, industry association WSTS said on Friday. "The October WSTS data are amplifying the positive trends observed in the already strong Q3," the European Semiconductor Industry Association said in a statement publishing the WSTS figures.
