<Arab nationalism is alright but Jewish nationalism - Zionism is not.>

The way to a peaceful world, is to establish the principle that nationalism cannot express itself in a way that denies other nationalisms.

Jewish nationalism, if it continues to express itself in the colonization of more Arab land, is self-destructive. It leads to perpetual war (conventional or guerrilla), and eventually that war will be fought (by both sides) with nuclear weapons. A Second Holocaust, that's where Israel is heading.

The goals of Jewish (and Arab, and any) nationalism, have to be limited to controlling those areas where they have a majority population. That means the pre-1967 frontiers. That is the proper and realistic expression of Jewish nationalism. If the goal is permanent control and Jewish settlement of all the territory West of the Jordan, this implies Israel has to either:
1. not be a democracy, since the Jews will be a minority in that area within a few years, or
2. an ethnic cleansing of the Arab population.

And, no, there are few Catholics left in France. They are one of the most secular nations on earth, their Catholicism has been so diluted by the Enlightenment, it's just about gone. Look at the argument going on right now, over whether to include any reference to Christianity in the European Constitution.
