You're right, Arnold is cutting benefits to the needy now.
He could be asking the rich to pay a little more instead, but in that sense he's a true Republican. He's rich and he thinks that the government helping anyone who's not rich is "socialism". That's where Arnold loses my sympathy.

I guess Republicans like to reward wealth and punish those who have to struggle. We understand that, but other than this elitist economic mindset, Arnold has done fairly well so far. His #2 person Bonnie Reiss is a well-known Democratic environmentalist. I actually know her and she's clearly there to run things for him. Mix in the Kennedy factor and Arnold is much a Democrat as a Republican.

IMHO Arnold should have run as an independent. Then thre would be no partisan bickering about him.

If every republican was like Arnold this country would be in much better shape. There are things I don't like about Arnold but on balance, I think hes a good choice to lead CA.

Davis and Bustamante had the Bush disease of being special interest cash machines. Of course not as bad as Bush... Bush would steal from the Jerry Lewis telethon to write another check to Halliburton if you'd let him... disgusting and amazing... I don't think anybody is as bad as Bush. But Davis and Bustamante definitely weren't clean.
