you cannot have it both ways.. nytimes is critizing for not having more reporters .. this was not a stunt but to build morale and show support.. Why not get off the troops back and show support for Iraq war.. From all reports over there from troops is the folks back home who critize the war that is causing them low morale. Bush gets relected , no one to run against him.. He didn't need to put himself and those who flew with him in harms way.

I think Rove knows that the "Mission Accomplished" tape was of no value for the campaign, and needed some new footage. A 2.5 hr visit, is a very short stay.
