He thrilled the troops because he was handing out their dinner. What other reason could there be? Could it have been his snappy attire? Perhaps those perfect teeth? Or because he's going to give them a cash kickback from his oil profits? Since he seems to have the ability to improve the morale over there, I think he should stay there. Maybe get in some combat time. I think that would really improve things over there. You know, show that he is one of the boys, a regular guy.
