Gore Says Bush Using Fear as Political Tool

wate.com

MURFREESBORO (AP) -- Former Vice President Al Gore told college students Tuesday night in Murfreesboro that the Bush administration is using fear as a political tool.

Gore said at Middle Tennessee State University that this is unworthy of the presidency.

Gore, who lost the presidency to Bush in 2000, said he's concerned that President Bush is turning out to be a divider, not a uniter.

He said Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt did not inspire fear but called for courage in urging support of World War II.

His remarks were carried via satellite at about 30 colleges.
