Bushies spinning myth of Saddam/9-11 connection. They wont give up. They need to cover-up their lies with another lie. Why can't they EVER just be honest with us?

Why can't they just admit "Ok, the intel was faulty and we errored on the side of caution. We had the troops all ready and it was a tough call because we didn't have a sure post-war plan but we went for it. There were many reasons for the invasion but no single one and it was a calculated risk. We simply didn't know if Saddam was a threat or not, and we didn't want that unfriendly tyrant in control of oilfields. The US has now secured the oil-fields and though we have seen no oil revenues yet, the US tax-payer needs to be reimbursed starting now".

If they just said that it would be more honorable.

You cannot know that no Iraqi's were involved in 911.
By your reconing we cannot know that the far side of the moon is not made of green cheese, because all the astronauts landed on the near side. That line of argument sounds almost as desperate as blaming Clinton for 9/11.
