James > You cannot conquer lawlessness unless you have a government to protect you.

I agree 100%. Protection of the people is the first and possibly the only true function of government. And this is the function that government likes least and performs worst. Why? Because it means taking responsibility and this is something which no government is capable of doing. What government likes to do is to tax the people, especially the poor ones, and then spend the money on all kinds of ideological fantasies like making wars on evil, AIDS research to benefit perverts or flights to Mars to look for extra-terrestrial life.

> I still have hope that the American people will finally demand of the Congress that new laws be instituted to bring us back from the brink of disaster from the new world policies of this cowboy who runs ramrod over the Congress in the name of patriotism.

Again, I agree 100%. Unfortunately, I do not believe the cure will be as simple as just voting W and his clique out. I don't see them going without a struggle even if that means crooking the election or even setting up such a bad "terrorist" incident that the election is, in fact, called off indefinitely. In my opinion and I apologize if I sound melodramatic, the US is heading for its second revolution. That's if freedom-loving people in Amerika seriously want to get rid of these guys. Unfortunately, that's easier said than done.

> As long as we have Senators like Senator Byrd, I still have hope.

And, for the third time tonight, I agree with you 100%! Unfortunately, his voice is drowned by the yelping of jackals.
