I said nothing there that could be even remotely considered pro-Saddam. The fact that he asked permission to be a monster is just part of the general Orwellian nightmare we find ourselves stuck in.

Actually, I believe all you can nail Rumsfeld with is providing agricultural credits. The record is very murky when it comes to the massive aid that Reagan/Bush provided on the military front.
