I'm really ticked off at the utterly small-minded pettiness of the CAGW crowd. While bashing predominantly 'earmarks' that put tax dollars back into the districts from which the taxes are collected, CAGW utterly misses the big picture.
For instance, today we are told by a very deceptive White House that we are in a "war on terrorism". Yet one of the most astonishly non-responsive budget items in the DoD FY 2004 budget is $9.1 Billion for the National Missile Defense (NMD) initiative.

Here's the "fat" that CAGW identified:

Hawaii..........$227 MM
Illinois.........104
Alaska............94
New Mexico........23
Michigan..........06
Florida...........03
Washington........03
Iowa..............01
____________________
Total...........$461 MM

Notice that CAGW utterly failed to mention NMD in its biased bashings.

Yet scientists across the political spectrum consider NMD to be totally maladaptive to the fight against terrorism, and to be technologically infeasible.

You are either a fool or a shill to be pointing us toward such silly stuff as the CAGW's politically motivated distractions.

They find less than half a billion in fluff, while disregarding a program that will, in total, waste $50-100 Billion on Rumsfeld's favored contractors over the next decade. What is going on here?
