The problem is is that occupation is all the Iraqis know.

The term "occupation" suggests the Iraqi people don't WANT us there; this, of course, couldn't be further from the truth -- the vast majority of Iraqi people say (a) they want us there and (b) they want us to stay until a secure transition to their new government can be made.

Where is this vast majority of support? Why do no Iraqis intervene when atrocity after atrocity like the recent kicking and battering of Spanish agents are underway? How about the off duty American soldier who got shot in the head in a crowded Bagdad neighborhood, and not one Iraqi tried to help him? Why do all we here are complaints from the average Iraqi? Why is every American effort put down by the Iraqis?

Show me how you conclude that "the vast majority of Iraqi people" want us there. Don't show me questionable polls because actions speak much louder than words. As far as I can see, you have very little basis to believe the Iraqis are behind us in a big way.

It simply kills you guys to see the major progress that is taking place in Iraq. Even the sleezeball Hillary came back saying the progress was impressive.

She did? I have not seen any articles where she suggests she is impressed. On the contrary, she sounds fairly critical. But then I haven't listened to FOX News this weekend.
