thanks, but I see a difference between "treaty obligations" (it takes at least 2 sides to have a treaty), and "security guarantor".

Heck, even inside the US, the US govt can only "guaratee security and safety, to the best possible effort". There is no absolute guarantee anywhere.

Humans abhor a vacuum. Being modest, humans then blame nature for this characteristic. As to a competition between China and Japan, you forget India.
