Hi Kerry,

Thanks for the Church Lady report. :)

I'm happy to say that I come from a short line of iconoclasts. My Dad is 80 years old, a devout Catholic and he favors seeing George Bush indicted for treason. The acorn never falls far from the tree. Though I won't be attending Sunday services this decade, TTBOMK.

OTOH, some of the "nicest" (ahem) people I know in town are fundamentalist Christians who, when I confronted them about all the slaughter and rape of innocents that our illegal invasion of Iraq would entail, simply told me in the most blasé of fashions that they "would pray for them". How much more f*cking compassionate can you get?

Hi Kerry,
Religiousness moves inversely with expected life span and the amount of secular education. One may therefore expect Republicans to oppose those wicked expenditures on public education and health care. There has to be an investment advantage in knowing the content of your so styled "off topic" post. Fascinating.
