I think you are going to be surprised in 04... Bush is beatable and it is the fence sitters, fiscal conservative folks who vote both parties (like me) who will take him down. You don't think this negativity will come out in the voting booth but I do.

The terrorism card was just so grossly overplayed... somebody posted a link where the RNC is considering a draft... you have GOT to be kidding. Any mention of a draft and the GOP goes home in a box I think. Part of the republican problem is that the soldiers in Iraq now come from the reserves which means they are adults capable of drawing a conclusion about the validity of this war.

On the fiscal side, Watching an 8% GDP and the lackluster xmas season we are going to have is scary to a lot of people who usually vote republican. Its going to be a hard race for sure but polls of likely voters are way overstating Bush's appeal imho.
