This type of behavior is always under the surface. It just needs some instability or weakness for it to pop back into view. It found weakness in the American public's media-induced hysteria after 911 and it found weakness in the Potted-Plant-In-Chief's lack of intellect and character. It is frightening how people will spend days putting out the Xmas lights but remain clueless that their civil liberties are in jeopardy. cnn.com ...It described activist strategies like videotaping arrests to intimidate police and using the Internet to recruit and raise funds. Police videotape traffic stops, why should videotaping arrests intimidate anyone who isn't doing anything wrong? Raising funds using the Internet is somehow suspicious? I guess the Dean campaign is really getting to the PPIC et al although I suspect the Reps will soon be engaging in this suspicious activity themselves.
