There have been countless articles that say that the south runs on god, guns, gays and PBAs. A completely different agenda than the rest of the country. If this ISN'T true, then great Bush will lose in a landslide even in the south on his dismal economic record. His pandering to the pro-life crowd with the PBA vote and the smokescreen gay marriage issue that the right is bantering around makes me think otherwise though. Believe what you want on gay marriage but the country is divided on this issue and the only reason to bring it up is to divert attention from the REAL issues which are Iraq, economy and federal spending. Bush thinks he can pander to the south on these matters and win there. Maybe but there aren't enough votes to matter.
