Sidney - this kind of "God will fix you" message means nothing. Dealing with what the Bible says means everything. What is to stop me from saying to you that "God will show you I'm right someday"? Nothign - except that I have no way of knowing if God will ever show you what He has shown me. I would say that you are not grounding what you believe upon the bible but rather upon what men have taught you. You just stick to your guns while your guns attack even Our Lord. To say that Jesus had no idea when He would return is awful. Christ said He did not know the day of the hour - He did not say He was clueless and that it could be 2000 years and counting. Christ told His disciples some of them would see it. Christ told His follower to pray about the day and hour: Matthew 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: He did not however say - it may or not may not be YOUR flight because it may occur to another generation. The second coming was to come as 'birth pangs' to a pregnant woman. Sidney - you may not know the exact day of hour your child will be born but if your wife is pregnant - it will not take 20 years. Matthew 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. Sidney - what does this verse mean to you: Luke 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. I find it difficult to believe that your friend could have possibly understood these things and then returned to futurism but men being what they are - I suppose anything is possible. Brian
