Yes very different. The three more Republican metros in Southern California (Orange County, San Diego, Riverside/San Bernadino) are among the 10 least segregated metros (between blacks and whites) in the United States. Orange County is the least segregated major metropolitan area (between blacks and whites) in the United States. San Bernadino/Riverside has the lowest income disparity between black and white households in the United States.

The three least desegregated (between blacks and white households) metros in California are Los Angeles/Long Beach, Oakland and San Francisco. The Oakland metro area, has one of the biggest gaps between black and white household income in the United States. For the Nation the most segregated cities are: Detroit, Milwaukee, and Chicago.
