In regard to the KJV boys 'fitting' scripture to suit their preconceived ideas.. we need not leave all the blame at their door. I have a copy of the 1601 Geneva and most of those 'leanings' were already forced into the verses. I 'suspect' they go back to some of the original English versions? I do have at least one example however that they made some errors worse. I appreciate your pointing out that mistranslation in Eph 3:20,21 What is funny is that the person who used that verse in an attempt to teach that the world (kosmos) would never end is a fellow who eagerly points out that it means 'age' in verse such as Matthew 24 :-) Selective hearing perhaps.
