Sidney - just stop for a minute and think
about what you did to defend your futurist ideas.

You make the words of Christ mean "the whole world"
the way modern man would understand it.

But "the whole world" when spoken by Paul were backwoods words
of an uneducated ignorant man who thought the world was flat?

What do you think you are doing?

What happens to inspiration?

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

You say to me that I will give nothing no matter how obvious it is?

It is obvious to me that Paul "finished the work" Paul said so.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Paul was the apostle to the gentiles -
he preached the gospel to the whole world -
he accomplished what Christ said he should.

It is not OBVIOUS that "the whole world" means within scripture what YOU WANT it to mean.

World means what it was intended to mean when it was written.

I would gladly admit I was wrong - if in fact I was - but I am not.

Scripture must interpret scripture - not wishful concepts based upon our our period of history.

RE>> Show Me <<

Isaiah 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth,
and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;
that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain,
and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place,
and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

Does the bible have to center around your life?

Is it that bad a deal if the second coming
does not happen while you are on the planet?

Is it not better that it happened when Christ said it would?

Did my showing you the original Greek have no effect on you at all?

But you seem to want to admit nothing no matter how obvious it is :-)
