Kerry has never waffled. But the right and left wing combined to make that a phony issue earlier on in the campaign. Therefore it got into the press and got repeated a lot. Not just the Bushies but the deanies were responsible. Together they have really hurt Kerry. deanies don't realize how much they are helping Bush sometimes. Hopefully Kerry can blast through that wall of BS.

Hi Glenn,

That was interesting about waffles. Maybe Kerry could run with an Aunt Jemima ad down in South Carolina..... <g>

So, anyway, I thought your instant survey of the mind of the web as filtered by our oracle at Google could help me with a question that a friend raised earlier today. Where was George H.W. Bush on November 22, 1963? Almost everyone who was alive at the time knows exactly where they were when JFK was shot. Everyone except George Bush apparently. Rumor was that Richard Nixon and George Bush were both in Dallas on the 21st and early on the 22nd Nixon flew out of Dallas up to New York City. Nixon recalled, fudging a bit, that he was in a taxi when he learned about the assassination. He was actually still at La Guardia airport but didn't want that fact to come out. PR image problem, don't you know.

So, anahoo, I typed "Bush Killed JFK" into the Mighty Wurlitzer at Google and hit a jackpot (no pun intended). 80,700 hits. Apparently I'm not having an original thought here.
