swm.v - uptick on volume again, hmm ... something coming with the Hope Bay diamonds prospects, maybe? .... or just general interest in the area, the George/Goose deal and all ..... and just look at big sister company -

mae.to - yeehaw, printed 3.50 this morning ... that's a fine chart lately, i haven't been following its action on Amex but it looks like they are finally getting the benefits of that listing ..... of course our US fellows are doing considerably better lately than we are, in terms of the respective currencies

Eighty-cent loonie coming up soon, that's scarey when it's so much so fast, it has to be hurting exports .... bank/banque has little choice but to cut the rate this month, imho

su.to - Suncor is getting quite popular south of the border, lots of press .... overvalued no doubt on a p/e basis, but it's long run speculation, and not so irrational at that, imho .... i've raised my target on this run twice already, now at 30ish ..... of course i'd have done a lot better buying it using borrowed money in a usd margin account, duh, i realised that after last entry ..... this works great, i've done it on a couple of the interlisted shares, it is effectively a short on usd as well as a long on real assets, gives you a double whammy ... can't do it in an rrsp of course, and it only works where the house credits you with usd margin for your loonie buy power .... we just changed loonies into pesos mexicanos, got an outstanding rate, unbelievable, this is probably why i've got currency moves on the brain
