You're comparing the US to a third world nation. The foundation of American prosperity is a strong middleclass. Bush's programs target and weaken the middleclass. They take away health benefits, shift the tax burden more to the middleclass, weaken unions and wages. Furthermore they make it harder for people to get a good education. The Clinton economy have the American Dream to more people than any any time in our lives. Even young black males could get a job and didn't have to join the army. Now we're in a fix where it's the haves versus the have-nots and it's all deficit spending. Those Bush debts are a timebomb. There is no perfect answer to anything but clearly the Clinton economists had it right and Bushies should not have tried to "fix" what wasn't broken. The other timebomb is waiting for interest rates to start climbing. Once that happens even pro-Bushie businessmen admit all bets are off.
